Hello ladies,
Hope you all are doing great. Yes, I have been quite busy lately because of assignments, but I am trying to schedule my life even more. I have set a dozen of reminders for everything in my phone. Yes! I have been THAT busy, but today I am back with another review which is on a lipstick by the very known, budget friendly makeup brand, MUA (Makeup Academy).
ABOUT THE PRODUCT:
MUA Lipsticks offer a shade for every occasion in easy to wear colors. In shades from red, pink and nudes each is packed with pigmentation for a gorgeous application.
Easy to apply – glide over the lips for desired effect.
MY THOUGHTS:
PACKAGING:
It comes in a sleek black swivel tube with silver accents and brand logo. It has a detachable pot at the bottom that contains more product or same color and texture. The tube has a sturdy cap, which makes it easy to travel with.
QUALITY:
Formulation wise, the lipstick is very buttery. It has a sheer coverage that is build able to medium. It glides on smoothly on the lips without tugging or emphasizing any dry patches. It stayed on my lips for 2 hours without eating or drinking, then faded away evenly. I would not say it kept my lips moisturized but they didn’t feel dry as well because of its creamy/buttery texture. It has a tendency to settle in fine lines of the lips if over layered or used with any lip gloss. Maybe that is why it already has a slight sheen so, you would not require a lip gloss to use over it.
The shade Tulip is a cool toned taffy pink shade. I did not find it to be suitable for our Desi skin tones. However, the only way I made it work for me was with a gun metal and silver smoky eye. I found everything else way to warm to compliment this shade of lipstick, even my skin tone. For reference, I am NC 25/30 in MAC.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY:
MUA lipsticks are available at www.just4girls.pk for PKR 260 only.

FINAL VERDICT:
I am not a fan of buttery formula of lipsticks so I don’t think I would try other shades from this line, but it is a steal for people who like creamy/ buttery formulation. Other than that, this lipstick deserves a pat on the back considering it’s price and performance.
PROS:
- Buttery formula.
- Glides on smoothly and evenly.
- Does not enhance dry areas on lips.
- Glossy finish.
- Sturdy packaging.
- Dirt cheap price.
CONS:
- Sheer pigmentation.
- Tendency to settle in fine lines of lips.
- Not long lasting.

I had one of these in the shade nude. It appeared washed out on my lips. Not a fan of these.

Nude shades tend to wash me put too. That’s why I go for nude lips.

The shade looks pretty, I am not a fan of buttery lipsticks though. I can go for a matte finish in everything lol. 🙂 x

I love matte finishes too 🙂 I put a gloss on top if I want sheen. But buttery formulas never work for me.
Thanks for dropping by.

Realy pretty colour. My sister bought a bunch of these but since they smell and taste a bit strange, I never got to use them much. Great for the price though -Sadaf
