3rd Blogaversary and Q&A. <3

blogaversary

Hello my lovely readers,

I hope all of you are doing great. Guess what? Dudettestalk turned three! I can’t believe it’s been three years! When I started blogging, I never thought I would get this much love and support in return. I remember getting my first follower on the blog and I was beyond excited. This year has been amazing for me and my blog. Every month was like another step to success, one more stride towards my goals. I made a lot of blogger buddies and they mean so much to me. They have truly helped me, motivated me to keep doing what I am passionate about. I got my first PR sample this year and I was excited like a little kid. It feels good to be recognized haha! Thank you so much Allah for blessing me with such lovely readers and followers.

Thank you so much everyone for the massive support and love. ❤ So today, I’m going to do a Q&A post so I can interact with you all a little bit more, and answer all the questions that I get frequently asked, whether on social media or just face to face during chit chat. I also recently updated a status asking if any of you have any questions related to me, my blog, or my life. So, I am going to answer the questions you asked me there so, let’s get into this 🙂

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. How old are you?
I am 19, soon to be 20. Enjoying the last year of my teenage life and excited to experience what the life in 20s feels like. 😀

2. What is Dudettestalk?
What does it mean? Dudettestalk is the name of my beloved blog which means Girl’s talk. Dude = Guy, so, Dudette = Girl.

3. Do you get paid for writing blog posts?
No, I do not get paid for writing blog posts in any manner. I write because I love it. I like to write about the things I am passionate about.

4. How to get free stuff (products)? If I start a blog, will I get sample products?
Yes, you will, if you truly put all the hard work into your posts and blog for your passion, not any sort of greed. It takes time and dedication to get recognized by the companies and win their trust. If you are starting a blog just so you can get free makeup, believe me, you need to rethink.

5. How do you select giveaway winners?
I manually check all the entries to filter the fake accounts then proceed to enter the names in a random name picking tool at www.miniwebtool.com This tools helps in randomly picking a winner just as a lucky draw but more advanced.

MORE QUESTIONS ASKED BY MY LOVELY READERS:

Q&A Sadaf

In Pakistan, some people still think that doing makeup is bad. If you are doing makeup means you are fake. The only reason is that a lot of people are unaware of the actual art of makeup. Pakistani people still haven’t accepted makeup as an art and a way of enhancing natural beauty, specially men and the credit goes to aunties who use foundation to look fair and pink and go over board with powders. Though, through blogs and media, these stereotypes are being broken that makeup is not for good girls and it ages you and what not. There is still a lot that needs to be changed. As for the blog, My blog has always been appreciated by my family and friends but, I do have met some people who advised me to do something more useful and sensible :s.

Q&A huda

Apart from blogging, I love to cook. I love trying out new recipes which I barely have time for, because of the busy schedule my university has gifted me. I reach home at 6 pm loaded with assignments. But when I do have free time, I love to annoy the hell out of my sisters 😀 and spend time with momma. My mom is my best friend and when we start talking, we let no one disturb us. I used to be a text-addict. I used to text my friends all day long but as I said my university doesn’t allow me to enjoy my life (lol) I barely text now. I love art, one of the reasons why I love makeup. It is like creating art on my face.
To be honest, I did not create this blog with any serious purpose. I had my vacations and I just wanted to share what I love and what I know, on the internet. I never thought it would turn out to be so special for me. I was a religious reader of Sara Hassan’s Blog and a YouTube beauty guru’s crazy follower, that intrigued me to start sharing my passion online. Before this blog I used to write a story on Wattpad. So, yeah it was both; My passion for makeup and writing.

Q&A urooba

I was recently going through a phase of laziness and writer’s block. I tried to write a post several times but ended up scrolling through my Facebook feed. Though, I love to write and come back to connect with my amazing readers, they are the motivation behind every post and every new idea I come up with but, I have learned that if you are going through a writer’s block, just let it be. Don’t stress. The more you’ll think about writing, the more you’ll get distracted. It’s okay! your posts/chapters can wait. Let your ideas simmer a little bit longer, Relax and you’ll be back to writing like nobody’s business.

Q&A rabiya

When I created this blog, I wanted to name it something creative. So I came up with Dudette’s Talk, meaning “Girl’s Talk”. This is the little story behind this blog’s URL.
My most favorite makeup item is Lipstick. I am a Lipstick-fanatic. I keep hoarding on lipsticks. The next would be foundation. If you don’t have a nice canvas to work on, you cannot create a master piece. Because it’s all about that base 😉

Q&A rakhshanda

I am anticipating on buying the blog’s URL. IA. I want to create more quality content so my readers could enjoy a lot more. I also want to start some kind of series on my blog like, monthly favorites or hits and misses. I hope I can reach my goals easily Ameen 🙂

Q&A durfishan

I prefer homemade masks. I try to stick to natural products when it comes to skincare. I have combination/ sensitive skin, which is really difficult to take care of. If I use store bought face masks, I make sure they are organic or at least contain no harsh chemicals. For tanned skin, I would recommend using Orglow skin whitening and brightening face mask. You can read the review over here.

I have no particular hair treatment regime. The only thing I try to do is oil my hair after every two days. I use a mixture of mustard oil, olive oil and a little bit of castor oil. This mixture helps make the hair shinier and stimulates hair growth. Other than that, I wash my hair properly with a clarifying shampoo and make sure no traces of oil are left. Then I follow with the matching conditioner and condition my hair from the mid shafts till the end. I am currently loving Pantene Nature Fusion shampoo and conditioner. I have recommended this shampoo to other friends too and they love it. I have a guide on how to shampoo your hair properly. you can read it over here.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post. These three years you all have been amazing and I hope coming years will be even more exciting and full of surprises.
Ameen 🙂

Much Love ❤
