I hope you’re doing great. If you have read my DIY Ultimate Detox and Brightening Face Mask post, you must know activated charcoal is my favorite ingredient in skincare products. It helps extract out all the dirt and impurities, preventing acne. I have been trying a lot of facemasks lately with activated charcoal as their main ingredient and I came across this much hyped L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox mask, at Imtiaz super market. I immediately picked it up and tried it as soon as I came home. Does it actually live up to its hype? Let’s find out.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT:
For the first time, the L’Oreal laboratories have selected three pure clays and combined them with charcoal, known to draw out impurities. The creamy texture detoxify the skin’s surface by cleansing deep into the pores, leaving the skin looking clarified and beautified without drying it out.
The elegant glass tub comes encased in a cardboard box with the brand name and description mentioned on it. The tub has a sturdy white plastic lid with L’Oreal engraved on it. The packaging looks chic and is heavy to hold.
First thing is first, the mask has a pleasant earthy scent. Formulation wise it is very thick and creamy and glides on your skin like butter. This mask is a combination of Kaolin, Montmorillonite and Ghassoul clay, all three of which are known for their sebum absorbing and brightening properties. It dries out really quickly and you can actually feel it working on your skin. The mask dries firm within 15 minutes. I like to dampen my face and massage the product in my skin circularly before completely washing it off. Within one use I saw my skin brightened and smoothened up. I felt like it has sucked out my white heads to the surface and all I had to do was wipe them off with a black head remover (If that makes sense). Even though it says the mask is good for ten applications, it can be dragged to twelve. The best part about this mask is that even though it draws out all the sebum, it does not dry out the skin.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY:
L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox mask costs PKR 900 and can be bought from all the L’Oreal Skincare counters at the leading stores nationwide. Online buyers can get it from http://www.daraz.pk and http://www.just4girls.pk
This mask has now become by favorite when I want to deep clean my skin. I do not moisturize my skin after this mask because I don’t feel the need to. It smells refreshing and works really efficiently. I would recommend this mask to all the ladies and even men with oily and combination skin type.
