Hi Everyone,
How is your makeup story going? I am trying to master flawless foundation application these days. Today, under the spotlight I have Jioney USA makeup blending sponge. Since, I have tried and tested it quite a few times, it’s time to share my experience with you all.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT:
High quality professional makeup blending sponge, allows you to apply makeup like a pro giving you a flawless foundation application every single time. No streaks or no area with too much or too little makeup. Can be used to apply any kind of makeup.
MY THOUGHTS:
PACKAGING:
This drop shaped sponge arrives in a good quality plastic, zip lock bag with the brand name and description mentioned on it.
QUALITY:
The texture of the sponge is as of a latex sponge. It feels really soft and rubbery to the touch. It has a tear drop shape that ensures easy application and blending in every corner of the face. The pointed part is good for applying concealer under the eyes and around the corners of the nose. While, the flat part is good for blending in the foundation. The sponge is reusable. It just has to be washed after every use with a brush/sponge cleanser or mild shampoo. Make sure to store it in a place where it can be air dried.
How I Use it: I dampen the sponge and squeeze out every bit of water. After getting damp, the sponge alters its size and gets bigger and softer. Then I squeeze/ pump out some foundation on the back of my hand and pat the sponge over it a few times. Using that sponge, I apply the foundation on my face and neck in dabbing motions. It gives a natural finish.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY:
It can be bought from Just4girls.pk for PKR 650.
FINAL VERDICT:
I am still experimenting with this sponge so, I can find the perfect way to use it. I know it cannot rival the king of makeup sponges; Beauty blender, but, it is doing a fine job. Though it didn’t impress me so much but didn’t disappoint me either. It can provide a natural finish if not flawless. I love how it makes my under eye concealer look so natural. If you are in search of a decent and affordable makeup blending sponge then go for it.
PROS:
- Very soft.
- Gives a natural finish.
- Pointed edge can be used to blend in small areas of the face.
- Affordable.
- Reusable.
CONS:
- Can soak up the foundation even after getting damp.
- Difficult to store.

Does this work equally good as The Beauty Blender?

I can’t compare it to the beauty blender because I haven’t had the chance to try it yet.

Very nice review! I actually like to use my fingers and then once the foundation is applied everywhere, I use my latex sponge. But a beauty blender is in my wish list.

It sounds okay for a quick fix but I have been trying to save for a pair of Beauty Blenders! 🙂 x

Such an detailed and honest review 🙂 This one looks like a waste of money as it soaks foundation.

Yeah it soaks quite a lot of product when dry. But when damp, it does not soak up that much foundation.

These sponges aren’t really bad for the price but I agree they can soak up or waste too much foundation. Nice review 🙂
