How is everything going :)? Today under the spotlight, we have Essence mono eye shadow in Back To Black. I have been playing around quite a lot with eye shadows lately and loving the new looks I am coming up with. I have used this eyeshadow in almost all of the looks I have created up till now. Now it is review time. So, here we go!
ABOUT THE PRODUCT:
Electrified eyes… the popular mono eyeshadows ensure color highlights on your eyelids and are sure to give all girls that extra-special added touch.
Ingredients: TALC, OXIDIZED POLYETHYLENE, MICA, SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE ETHYLHEXYLPALMITATE, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, TIN OXIDE, PHENOXYETHANOL, CI 77266 (BLACK 2) (NANO), CI 77491, CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE).
It comes in a round, transparent plastic container. The lid of the container is actually a magnifying plastic. The product description is mentioned at the bottom of it. The packaging is very nice and sturdy. Hence, easy to travel with.
The eye shadow has a smooth texture, but have the tendency to get chalky if layered up again and again. The pigmentation of the product is good, and excellent if used over an eye primer or base. Essence single eye shadows come in a variety of finishes. I got the one in matte finish. It is perfect for setting and softening the eyeliner. It works perfectly on the outer V and in full smokey eye. I experienced a little fall out with this eye shadow, but it was nothing a tissue paper can’t fix. It stays put for about 6 -7 hours with a primer underneath and at least 4 hours without primer.

This has been my most used eye shadow in the past year. It has a smooth texture and a good color payoff. I slightly line my lower and upper lash line with it when I have to rush out. This is a fantastic budget eye shadow. I would definitely recommend it. 🙂
